Locally Sourced Grass Fed Beef From Muddy Creek Ranch

Karen’s family Bob and Edie Tomasko, purchased The Wilsall Bar & Café in 2007 to serve beef raised on Muddy Creek Ranch. David and Karen purchased the restaurant in 2013. They are committed to fulfilling Bob and Edie’s dream and commitment to serve premium grass-fed beef locally raised in the Shields Valley.

Muddy Creek Ranch

Muddy Creek Ranch is a fully integrated American Aberdeen (Lowline) cattle operation located in Wilsall, Montana. Our breeding program is second to none using only proven grass genetics to produce superior offspring.

The heifers are used for replacements and the bulls are used on commercial cows to prove their carcass traits through their offspring. The 1/2 blood calves are fed out on strong Montana pasture until they are finished at about 17 months of age. They are then harvested, graded and sold through local markets including our own restaurant where the ultimate test is taste and tenderness.
